Keith Blackburn to Retire as President and CEO of Greater Fort Lauderdale LGBT Chamber of Commerce (GFLGLCC) After 14 Years of Service
Jason Nunez Named as Successor, Effective January 1, 2025
Fort Lauderdale, FL – October 7, 2024 – After 14 years of impactful leadership as the founder, President, and CEO of the Greater Fort Lauderdale LGBT Chamber of Commerce (GFLGLCC), Keith Blackburn has announced his retirement, effective December 31, 2024. This decision comes after careful reflection on his time building and leading the Chamber to success.
Keith Blackburn has been instrumental in driving economic growth, championing equality, and promoting diversity within the Greater Fort Lauderdale business community. His tireless dedication has transformed the Chamber into a vital resource for LGBT-owned and allied businesses, creating a more inclusive and vibrant local economy.
As part of this leadership transition, the Chamber is proud to announce Jason Nunez, founder and CEO of Go Digital Hero, as Keith Blackburn’s successor. Jason will assume the role of President and CEO, effective January 1, 2025. To ensure a smooth transition, Keith will serve in an advisory role beginning the same date, offering guidance and continuity during this pivotal time.
A native of Puerto Rico, Jason Nunez brings over 19 years of diverse professional experience, including key roles with the White House, State Department, Department of Defense, and Department of Labor. His expertise in digital strategy, organizational development, and innovation has made him a sought-after leader. Jason’s work with the Greater Miami LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce also highlights his commitment to enhancing opportunities for the LGBTQ+ business community throughout South Florida.
Jason Nunez will begin transitioning into his new role on November 18, 2024, ensuring a seamless handover of leadership. The Chamber is confident that Jason’s vision, leadership, and dedication to inclusivity will build upon the strong foundation established by Keith Blackburn, positioning the Chamber for even greater success in the future.
