Protecting Children from Human Trafficking
Currently, there are over 400,000 children in Haiti who are restaveks (victims of human trafficking). Our focus is to prevent children from rural families to become restaveks.
Once the families of these children come under our sponsorship program, we can provide them with education, medical care, dental care, and financial assistance.
This support system ensures that the families are not faced with the terrible choice of selling or having to give their children up to individuals who will enslave them.
All our projects are geared to ensuring that children grow with their families in their local communities. We use a “whole community” approach to empowering communities. We have our hands in everything from education to farming to medical help to even providing microloans to families to give them a leg up. We partner up with the community to create projects that results in sustainability.
